Robbie Robertson is an artist that always amazes me. From his work with The Band, with Dylan, as a solo artist, and more I anticipate and appreciate each release as if it is a gift to me. I don’t toss the word legendary around but it works here, his contributions and talent are extraordinary. Here is a track from the much overlooked LP Contact from the Underworld of Redboy. I hear this is a cover and while I am not familiar with the original, I just adore this version of “Hit ‘Em Up Style” by Carolina Chocolate Drops Definitely need to learn more about them! |
