Under The Wishing Tree – Charlie Sexton Sextet an eclectic work
Warren sits in with DMB on a stellar Cortez for a couple hundred thousand in Central Park.
Is there any thing that Warren and Mule can’t play? No, I don’t think there is. Nice cover of Pearl Jam – “Black” from Temple of the Mule – 12-31-2008
Found these guys through Twitter and find I quite enjoy them. Some of it gets a little too blue-grassy for me (a little goes a long way) but they can really pull out the jam. Hope you enjoy this song called “Slow Train” – It’s got an Allman Brothers feel to it (including a nice Jessica tease) which might help explain the attraction. Sound could be better as the lead guitar seems way down in the mix but it’s a killer performance. They’ve got quite a few shows available for download on the Internet Archive so I recommend using a little bandwidth to pick one and check them out. More info also available on their official web site. Enjoy! Let me know what you think. Singer and multi-instrumentalist Jackie Greene sent out his holiday wishes today with a very nice gift for fans. The Grateful EP is a 3 song release made available on his web site featuring some nice Grateful Dead covers including “Sugaree” (listen below), “New Speedway Boogie” and “Brokedown Palace”. Covering GD songs is nothing new for Jackie who did a stint with Phil Lesh in his Phil & Friends band a few years back. We’ve had the chance to see Jackie a few times live and I highly recommend you do the same if you get the chance. Not sure how long this will be available so you might want to head on over and grab ‘em while you can. Bruce Cockburn is my hero.
Chips From The Chocolate Fireball / The Dukes of Stratosphear psychedelic fun
Bridge of Sighs / Robin Trower dreamy and fluid
